The aerospace industry of a nation has already become a symbol which reflects the advancement, strength and level of the national and industrial development. Obviously, aerospace industry is extremely crucial to both civil and military sectors of countries. Challenges are huge for creative designs and professional solutions to produce swifter, safer and more environmental friendly as well as economical aircrafts and spacecrafts.

In aerospace engineering, the most advanced diverse technologies from mechanical engineering, material science, microelectronics engineering, etc, converge to produce a variety of aircrafts and spacecrafts carrying not only cargoes or passengers to faraway destinations but also to achieve human dreams of exploring and touring the outer space.

The Joint Master of Science Programme in Aerospace Engineering will provide graduates an in-depth knowledge in the field of aerospace engineering focussing in the areas of aeronautical and space design and research. The programme is jointly taught by international academia from NTU and TUM faculty, who have extensive experience both in university research and education as well as in global industrial product development and management. The non-technical subjects are taught by respective experts from the industry. Lectures will be held at the NTU campus in Singapore. Students who have passed all examinations will be awarded a joint Master's degree from NTU and TUM.

During the course work in semester one and two the students have to complete 6 core modules. Each module has 40 contact hours. They will take place at facilities at NTU/NUS by Professors of TUM or NTU/NUS.

The student has to choose 4 of the following electives:

Tuition fees
The tuition fee per semester for the ME (M.Sc.) programme is SGD 10,000

This fee is including:

·matriculation fees at relevant universities, teaching and examination fees
·lab materials and expenses
·expenses for intercultural program, including tickets for events and industry excursions
·all fees for scripts, excluding text books
·usage of all university facilities at TUM and NUS / NTU or relevant universities like    library fees
·all administration fees
·fees for computer and internet access
·excursion and off-campus expenses for mandatory events

Fees charged do not depend on nationality. Our institute acts according to its non-discrimination policy.

Tuition fees are subject to change by action of the supervising boards.

Goods & Services Tax in Singapore (GST) is chargeable on the total tuition fee. It is waived only for international students sponsored by foreign companies.

The total tuition fee is payable to the German Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) in three equal instalment payments. The payment schedule is as follows:

1st payment is due in July upon confirmation or admission to the programme
2nd payment is due in January
3rd payment is due at the end of June
